With the bank that inhabited the core at the ground level lobby of 1515 vacating the space, it left the building with the challenge of filling this “undesirable” spot. With limited opportunities to fill the space, our challenge became leveraging these less than ideal spaces to house new amenities that were appealing and useful to the tenants. An existing bank vault became the inspiration for the materiality and layout story for the ground level lobby & amenity spaces. A feature stair was included in the design to engage the second level amenities and a severely underutilized plaza space.
